Symbolica: Palace of Fantasy (must do)

• Sit down attraction in a vehicle that seats up to 8 people;
• Children < 1.20 m are welcome with company aged 16 years or older;
• The rides spins a little and you may feel a couple of waterdrops; 
• There is a single rider queue at Symbolica dark ride. This is a separate queue for guests who would like to visit the attraction on their own, allowing empty seats in vehicles to be filled;

Located in the heart of Efteling's Fantasierijk, Symbolica is a grand dark ride that invites visitors into a world where reality and fantasy intertwine. This interactive attraction, opened on July 1, 2017, was designed to celebrate Efteling's 65th anniversary and stands as one of the park's most ambitious rides to date, costing a staggering €35 million. The Story Behind Symbolica

Symbolica is more than just a ride—it's an adventure through the enchanted palace of King Pardulfus, where visitors are greeted by the somewhat stiff palace butler, O.J. Punctuel. However, before the audience with the king can begin, the mischievous Pardoes the Magic Jester takes over, offering a secret tour of the palace's hidden wonders. Riders board a Fantasievaarder, a whimsical vehicle that can hold up to six people, and embark on one of three different routes, each filled with unique, interactive elements.

The Ride Experience

Once aboard the Fantasievaarder, visitors travel through a series of rooms within the palace, such as the Observatory, the Panorama Salon, and the Botanicum. Each room offers its own visual spectacle and magical surprises. The ride culminates in the King's Hall, where a grand feast is underway, and visitors are treated to a swirling dance as the room comes alive with music and vibrant lights.
